Umicore is
manufacturing a highly consistent and pure quality of Nickel Sulphate through
a unique proprietary refining process out of copper, PM-, and cobalt bearing
raw materials. Not only is Umicore the largest producer of these small green
crystals, but its quality is also the reference for the global plating-industry.
The “EN” grade, in particular, is very much in demand for the electroless
plating process.
Recently, Umicore diversified its product range with a new range of
nickel inorganic salts. Black nickel oxide for ceramic colouring will
be offered to the pigment industry where Umicore is already in a strong
position with Cobalt oxides. Recently Nickel acetate and nitrate (solid form and
solution), and Nicke Phosphate solution have been added to the portfolio.
These products are mainly used in the catalyst and plating market. Together
with the Cobalt compounds, Umicore attempts to offer a complete solution
to the catalyst and plating market.
Nickel carbonate, in various forms ranging from dry product to wet cake,
is an ideal salt for pigment manufacturing, catalyst production and the
plating industry.
