Cobalt EFP

Description
Cobalt EFP has become the industry standard as an all round cobalt based cutting tool bond material. Its uniformly fine, high aspect ratio shape ensure that it offers very good cold pressed green strength. It combines good hardness levels with excellent impact resistance.

Sintering (Sintering Charts)
The pure powder is sintered in a standard hot press in a temperature range of 800 - 850°C to give a hardness of about 104 HRB.

Typical applications
Cobalt EFP can be used in a very wide range of applications in all types of stone and construction materials. Its properties can be readily modified by the addition of other elements and processing conditions.
