SMS
 Description
Cobalt SMS is a sub micron fine powder that has been designed to combine
excellent impact resistance and high hardness with a low temperature
sintering profile. Its elongated shape also means that the cold comapcts
possess high green strength.
Sintering

The pure powder is sintered in a standard hot press in a temperature
range of 750 - 800°C which will give 106/107 HRB. Cobalt SMS can be
equally well sintered in pressure free sintering.
Typical
applications
To be used in all cobalt based bond systems where a relatively high
hardness) at particularly low temperatures is required.
